Chief Executive of Genisys ARCt
I am the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Genisys ARCt, established in 2015 to break down barriers to employment and empower migrant communities across the UK , Guyana and South America.
My professional journey spans a wide range of senior leadership and regional management roles within public sector services and community initiatives. Since moving to the UK, I have managed programmes and campaigns in collaboration with the British Armed Forces, the West Midlands Fire and Police Service, the National Blood Service, and the Home Office's Connecting Communities projects. These experiences have shaped my belief that meaningful employment and a sense of belonging are essential to building stronger, more resilient communities.
Through Genisys ARCt, I am committed to applying everything I have learned combining strategic vision, community engagement, and cultural understanding to create opportunities that help individuals thrive and realise their potential. I believe that when people gain pride in themselves, they inspire pride in their communities, laying the foundation for lasting social and economic progress.

Dr. Seyed Mojtaba Sajadi
Consultant Volunteer - Projects
Dr. Seyed Sajadi, a Professor specialising in Operations and Supply Chain Simulation in the Operations and Management Department at Aston Busi ss School, joined our team in May 2023.
Renowned for his research in simulation-based optimisation and business analytics, Dr. Sajadi brings extensive experience in teaching, research, and supervision across various academic levels in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Turkey, Indonesia, Japan, and Iran. He has taught a wide range of modules, including Simulation Optimisation, Operations Research, Supply Chain Optimisation, Business Analytics, and Machine Learning.
As a consultant, Dr. Sajadi is supporting our organisation's mission to reduce poverty by removing barriers to employment and bridging gaps between jobseekers and employers in the UK and Guyana, South America. His expertise includes business reengineering processes, innovative business models, and project management to improve process efficiency.
Additionally, we are collaborating on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to further enhance our impact.

A versatile professional pursuing an M.Sc. in Engineering Management at Aston University with over 3+ years of experience in IT and corporate project management, effectively combining technical and management expertise across industries.
My role as Business Operations Administrator at Genisys ARCt is to facilitate the company's administrative operations by delivering excellent customer service, meeting organisational standards, prioritising workloads, and maintaining a good rapport with clients and stakeholders.

Business Development Officer - Windrush Case Worker
I am currently a third-year B.Sc. Economics and Management student, eager to further develop my industry skills and gain valuable work experience to support my professional growth.
In my role as a Windrush Caseworker at Genisys ARCt, I provide support to members of the Windrush generation, guiding them through the complexities of the UK immigration system to help them secure their legal rights and status. My work involves managing cases from start to finish, advising individuals on eligibility for citizenship or compensation, assisting with documentation gathering, and acting as a liaison with government bodies such as the Home Office. This role has strengthened my communication, and organisational skills, while allowing me to contribute to meaningful, socially impactful work.

I am currently pursuing an M.Sc. in International Business at Aston University. I bring two years of experience working with a Tally-based accounting firm, which has equipped me with a solid foundation in finance and business operations.
At Geneysis ARCt, I serve as a Business Development Executive, where I am responsible for identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant applications, and ensuring compliance with government funding requirements. I also manage the end-to-end process of securing financial support for various projects, aligning funding strategies with organizational goals.
Additionally, I am actively involved in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project in collaboration with Aston University, which is further enhancing my practical understanding of business innovation and strategic development.

I am currently a Business Development Officer and Windrush Caseworker, where I support Windrush clients who have been impacted by the scandal whilst advancing the expansion and growth of the organisation. A portion of my role has been to write and develop appeals, helping clients with difficult legal processes with discretion and precision.
I am also a law student at present, interested most of all in the intersection of legal systems with social justice and community activism. This role allows me to combine my academic background with hands-on experience, both deepening my legal knowledge and strategic skills.

My name is Emike Adams, and I am a Windrush Case Worker dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by the Windrush scandal. In my current role, I work closely with clients who have faced systemic injustices, guiding them through complex and often overwhelming legal and administrative processes. A key part of my work involves drafting and developing appeals with care, discretion, and precision—ensuring each client’s story is heard, understood, and represented accurately.
Beyond direct client advocacy, I contribute to the organisation’s broader development, helping to expand its reach and strengthen the support available to the Windrush community.
Alongside my professional work, I am a law student at Aston University, where I focus on the intersection of legal systems, social justice, and community activism. My academic journey complements my practical experience, allowing me to apply legal theory to real-world challenges while deepening my strategic thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of justice in practice. This combination of rigorous study and hands-on advocacy continues to shape my commitment to promoting equity, accountability, and meaningful social change.

My name is Humairaa Afzal, and I am a third-year Accounting and Finance student currently completing a placement as a Business Administrator at Genisys ARCt. Alongside my academic journey, I have been committed to community engagement through various volunteering roles, where I supported individuals whose first language is not English by offering digital literacy and IT guidance. These experiences strengthened my communication skills and deepened my ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
In my current role at Genisys ARCt, I contribute to the smooth running of daily operations by ensuring that internal processes are followed and that staff adhere to organisational policies and best practices. I play a key role in maintaining clear and professional communication channels, managing important emails, and handling phone calls with partner organisations, clients, and external stakeholders. This responsibility has enhanced my organisational abilities, attention to detail, and confidence in managing time-sensitive and business-critical tasks.
Through my placement, I have developed a strong understanding of administrative operations within a professional environment and strengthened my ability to prioritise workloads, solve problems proactively, and support teams in achieving their goals.
